A woman with out lipstick is no lady..

Anybody that knows me will understand that over the past few months i have become an absolute lipstick FIEND. I love them I've completely fell hard for them (and became a liiiiiittle bit of a lipstick snob while I'm at it) I just think they're a fantastic way of looking like a lady. Personally I've found I prefer matte lipsticks and therefore lip care is essential because holy hell they really dry your lips out.
For everyday I tend to lean towards carmex for lip care , a little bit less oily than vaseline, and I love the tingle. For when i'm wearing lipstick I stick Macs prep + prime on and although i can say it's pretty good I really wouldn't mind some suggestions on alternative as i find it a little bit greasy.

I tend to lean towards MAC products in general and for lips theres no exceptions my collection so far includes :
- Please Me (Matte) - great summer/spring colour and goes perfectly with girly outfits for me
- Russian Red (Matte) -probably my favourite - its the stereotypical bright red lipstick that i just love
- Diva (Matte) -great winter lipstick and very much in with the kind of goth vibe thats going on right now without being too extreme its a dark rich red colour
-Up the Amp ( A welcome birthday addition from the collection)- This ones not matte , and i regularly can put it on without a primer , its quite creamy , i'd say its a more extreme version of please me. Sassy

I also bought a topshop lip bullet in bewitched as an alternative to diva for this seasons vamp look. It's bang on trend although it is pretty dark which is intimidating and definitely not for everyday. The only thing is , I just don't feel that the colour lasts that long, it wipes off way too easily !?

Opinions on your favourite lipsticks ?

Cut Cut Cut

Hair- A HUGE part of who you are. How you have you're hair cut and coloured becomes part of your identity. When it comes to my hair i'm pretty adventurous when it comes to colour , i've ranged from platinum blonde , mousey brown to a flaming ginger (personally my favourite) however I've always kept my locks as long as they would grow (GROW I WANT SUPER LONG MERMAID HAIR!) , but lately i've just been hating it. i'm too low maintenance to even brush my hair for days. So when i went into the hairdressers frustrated I knew I was going to do something ridiculous
I went into the hair dressers like this....

And came out looking like this ....
And do I like it !? Yes! My mother just repeated 'it'll grow back at me' .Having my hair cut off was partially liberating and not nearly as emotional as I'd thought it would be. It's a lot more manageable , thicker and i love it! Colour wise it will probably get lighter towards the summer.  Yes I have days of lusting after my old hair , flicking through pictures with that ' just look how looooong it was' eyes but then i have to remind myself that that photo would of been a good hair day/ good photo and they were majorly outweighed by the 3+ days i would leave my hair in a bun.
I love it anyways ,and it makes me think i Really wouldn't rule out shaving my head for chartity!

Coat and Boots

There'll be many posts of what i managed to get over christmas, sales and otherwise but i thought i'd kick it off with 2 of my favourite christmas gifts!
I'll begin with my coat. I'd been looking for a beautiful oversized masculine coat for so long and although my mum said she would treat me to one of the topshop beauties I was still a little bit hesitant as I wasn't really sure on my style. Then lo and behold , I was browsing the urban outfitters sale (forever in the sale racks) when I came across this navy blue  sparkle and fade beauty, reduced from £130 to £30 (erm WOW!) plus I got student discount on top bringing it to a grand total of £27. Although I wasn't too keen on a double breasted jacket to begin with , I really couldn't say no and now I'm in love with it! ( My mum offered to buy it for a christmas present too - woo!)

My boots were my main birthday present since I feel like the girl who has everything. Ive been looking for a pair of Chelsea boots for so long now and my mum knows how much I love my Doc Martens so treated me to these Kensington Chelsea Boots, super comfy and super shiny!

M.I.A

Sooo .. that 'serious stab at blogging' really didn't go to well. But I'm back and ready to persist once again, armed with a beautiful new macbook (because my laptop was utterly rubbish), lots of new clothes, makeup, uni woes and adventures i try again
