Well Spring is finally here and the sunshine is pretty glorious in Newcastle , and whenever the suns out I always have the overwhelming sense to start looking after my presentation a bit more , eat a bit healthier , even exercise a little bit more! Off i went to boots and since its 3 for 2 i bought 2 products:
-Garnier Micellar cleansing water £4.98 - everyone seems to be on about it so I joined the hype too ( it also helped that i really needed a new cleanser after sleeping for a eek in my makeup) anyways , I understand what the hype was about, it is just gentle , no stinging eyes or lips , it just takes everything off! A Great cleanser , I followed it with my usual Kiehls cleanser and oh lord my skin is just so so so soft now and i haven't even moisturised yet!
-Dove Summer glow £4.98 ( his also half price at super drug atm but since i was doing 3 for 2 it worked out cheaper) In our house I'm the palest of them all and I really don't usually go for fake tans because I honestly think people just get a bit too fake tan happy. Buttttt i'm really missing my ibiza tan from last summer , I want to keep my subbed use to a minimum for my health and to top it off my housemates been using this and she looks AMAZING , i can't overemphasise how golden she looks , she also promised it was super easy to put on with a no streak effect. Ive just applied it and it doesn't smell too bad ( still that tiny hint of biscuits) it is a little bit tacky so give yourself plenty of time to apply, it seems to be super moisturising but we'll have to wait and see what colour i come out! ( You can also get a lighter version for you super pale girls out there
-Balmi lipbalm (in mint flavour) this was kind of an impulse extra as my lips are in awful condition from all the matte lipsticks i wear , I grabbed the mint flavour and gave it a whirl and I'm nor sure how i feel about it - I kind of wish i bough coconut or raspberry if I'm honest although it does give a nice tingle. I'd say it's a little bit greasy , nothing on carmex and I probably won't buy again but I will use it regardless!

Skincare
Skin Skin Skin.
As i'm getting older (hopefully not that old), I'm finally realising the importance of a skincare routine. I'm a girl that doesn't tend to wear makeup on a day to day basis and therefore thought it was time to invest in some good skincare products that would sort me out. Enter Kiehl's. A brand I've never really heard of until I saw a handsome bearded model tweet about it and then a shop pop up in Newcastle. I decided to pop in after reading some rave reviews online and see what the hype was about. The staff were lovely and asked me a few questions about my skin (it's quite dry and dehydrated at the moment) , I explained my current skincare routine was just a cleanser from Boots and usually waking up in last nights makeup. Surprisingly they didn't try to oversell me a cleanser and offered me a cucumber herbal toner and the ultra facial cream.
So , what are they like ?
The toner is designed for sensistive skin and is alcohol free (hooray!), and because of that doesn't really have a strong scent , its neither pleasant or unpleasant, but that's not really a big factor. The toner does feel your face leaving ultra refreshed and hydrated and has tightened my pours over the past couple of weeks.
Next I put the ultra facial cream on, its fair to say I've completely fell in love with it . Once again this has no scent , but its super soft and silky when applying it , and a little goes a long way. I would say it's definitely recomennded for dry skin particularly. It leaves my face feeling dewy and refreshed and i've noticed it works quite well as a primer!
Overall ? I've fell head over heals for Kiehl's. A little bit pricey in comparison to everyday superdrug /boots products but well worth the money , and i can't wait to invest in a cleanser when mine runs out!
(Also the assistant gave me a tester fragrance of the nashi blossom and pink grapefruit fragrance and it smelt BEAUTIFUL) it's definitely on my next buy list!
